Last month, I asked a friend of mine, Zaky (he’s a very talented artist btw) to put some doodle on a plain white mug. This mug was one of the birthday presents for Husband. See, we just need a bit of creativity and I think a handmade personalized gift is one of the best presents we can give to our loved ones. Sssh, the mug itself only costs less than Rp15.000. Bought it at Hero Supermarket. Cheapo!

A couple weeks ago, my friends and I held a second hand sale named Was Mine. I was in charge of the decoration. So, we collected our things. One of us have hula hoops, the other ones have these lace and wool leftovers. I used anything I have. wood panel, window panel, bench, ladder. Anything! Yes, the tricky yet fun part was how to have a nice display with a very low budget.

yes, they’re not (just a bunch of) rocking horses. the one on the left looks like a turtle, but that can be a cloud under a big green roof with antenna. i will definitely have one of these creatures one day soon.

Saat menjelang pernikahan tahun 2011 lalu, saya dan suami pun membuat konsep prewedding photo kami. Kuncinya adalah “tidak ada pose frontal” dan memastikan kalau foto-foto tersebut tetap enak dipasang di rumah setelah menikah nanti tanpa terkesan narsisis. Rasanya saya juga bukan orang yang nyaman melihat foto muka saya besar-besar di kamar tidur.
Lalu saya menemukan situs fotografer Max Wanger (www.maxwanger.com) yang cocok sekali dengan konsep yang terbayang. Hasil jepretannya lebih mengangkat suasana daripada pasangannya, namun tak membuat pasangan yang ada di dalamnya terkesan tempelan. Indah!





Jadi, siapa bilang kalau prewedding photos harus melihat lensa atau pose berhadapan kamera? 🙂

kira got this black and white scarf bib from a friend of mine.

i tried to find one for months. then i went to this shop at Bandung named Pop Shop. It’s a concept store filled with a lot of very nice designed clothes and things, including baby clothes and yes, scarf bibs (Rp. 43.000). and it’s local made!

here’s my plan, find a good and simple  bedding set for Kira’s crib. i’m in love with this yellow and grey chevron pattern set from carousel designs, hope i can find a similar one here.

i’ve found a local baby bedding set designer, and will share you the result once the bedding set’s done. 🙂

btw, i really like this iPad free apps named ‘Houzz’! Husband has been addicted to this apps for weeks. you can visit the site too at http://www.houzz.com. it’s a perfect place for house/decor references.

undangan dari lala bohang

Lala Bohang adalah salah satu teman baik saya yang punya karya begitu khas dan disukai banyak orang. Saat menikah dulu, Lala berbaik hati melebur foto kami dengan goresannya yang cantik.
